I love my pharmacists, and their great techs. Work hard-keep their cool even when confronted by rude and hostile people.
I hope you realize that not all people are like these too frequent a-holes.

Why do these people even think it's OK to post sentiments like that? I know we've become an instant gratification, bloated sense of entitlement society...but frustration doesn't justify the venom they spew.

Just like anonymous #1, I hope you realize we don't all hate our pharmacists. (sure there was that one tech I disliked, because she was rude, but I think she's gone now.) I get my meds each month from my local walmart pharmacy, so I have dealt with all three pharmacists (and their techs), and they're all great.

Some of those people are the only patient their pharmacy has. They are very special and the world revolves around them. Their pharmacist has nothing to do until they call or walk in, in fact the whole staff probably anticipates this person getting sick and needing an extra script this month because they truly have nothing else to do but wait for their only patient to need something.

I think it depends on the company you work for. I support my local family owned pharmacy and I love the techs and most of the pharmacists. One is eh, but I'm still super polite and nice. I know the job is stressful. But I have a few speciality meds my ins won't let me fill there (Humira) and I have to go to cvs or Walgreens. I must say the CVS pharmacists are so much ruder and not as pleasant. I'm still polite and thankful and wait my turn, I don't expect a prescription filled in 5 minutes...but it's pretty clear they are much unhappier than my local independent pharmacy.

and 100% of them are probably there for narcotics, benzos or stimulants- don't take it personally.
