Treat dizziness by giving a drug that can cause dizziness?
Apparently there's a use for that.

Maybe "for dizziness" means to take it if you WANT to be dizzy. Then makes perfect sense.
I've seen diazepam 2 mg tid prescribed for vertigo and found it rather strange. Then I had vertigo & that's what my MD prescribed. I took it. Vertigo went away. Go figger...
Benzodiazepines can be used for vertigo. They are not the first choice, but they can be effective.
